MFL: Further 2010 Drill Results from Dolores, La Virginia

ANDREW KAIP, BMO Capital Markets (02/14/2011)
"MFL released further drill results from the 2010 exploration program at the company's operating Dolores mine and the La Virginia project. Drilling at Dolores focused on extending open-pit potential to the south of existing reserves and further delineating underground resources. Underground drilling at Dolores, which included 12.4 g/t gold and 75.3 g/t silver over 42m from hole D10-562C (~50m below the current life-of-mine open pit) highlights the potential positive impact of exploration at Dolores. BMO Research expects the results from the 2010 program to support an increase in the confidence and size of the current resource base, as well as future reserve growth. Exploration at the La Virginia project (~10 km. NW of the Dolores mine) outlined seven priority target areas. Results to date indicate the potential for both narrow high-grade and wide lower-grade gold and silver mineralization. Exploration is at an early stage and is expected to remain a focus through 2011 as the company advances La Virginia to the resource stage. MFL plans to release FY10 results on February 24 after market close with a conference call held at 11:00 a.m. EST on February 25 (dial in 1-877-240-9772). MFL currently trades at 0.6x the 10% nominal NPV, a discount to intermediate producer peers within the BMO Research gold coverage universe that trade at 1.2x."
