RBY: Initial and Potential Estimates from Phoenix

HRA Journal (12/08/2010)
"Rubicon Minerals put out a set of initial and potential resource estimates from its Phoenix gold. The initial inferred resource [is] 4 Moz. at an average 20.1 g/t (0.58 oz./ton) grade. The study also suggests additional potential for upwards of 3 Moz. in well-drilled ground above 500m depth and for 5–6 Moz. in sparsely tested ground from 500–1,500m depth. . .the suggested potential is in keeping with history elsewhere in the camp, so we do expect progress here to be closely watched. If in-fill drilling confirms the additional 3 Moz. in the shallow portion of the system, the current $325/oz. valuation would drop below $200/oz.

Shallow ounces at camp grade in Red Lake are premium ounces that should comfortably command that kind of pricing in a $1,400 gold universe. We expect the stock to trade in line with gold's price and would hang on to it while testing continues to firm up and turn the Phoenix potential into resources."
