"Aurizon Mines leapt up on drill results from the 123 Zone, located about 1 km. east of the West Mine Shaft at the Casa Berardi Mine in NW Quebec. Highlights from the latest 14 holes include: 42.1 g/t over 21.5m, 13.0 g/t over 4.3m and 6.0 g/t over 7.8m. . .As of December 31, 2009, the 123 Zone contained inferred mineral resources of 714,000t at 9.4 g/t Au for 216 Koz. using a cut-off grade of 4.0 g/t. Results of this drilling program are expected to be integrated into a new resource estimate by year-end, with an anticipated release date of February 2011. In the meantime, the company will continue to explore the zone from the 810m and 550m level drifts in order to confirm continuity of mineralization. Additionally, a surface exploration drill program at both the East and West Mine is continuing to evaluate the extension of existing zones and to test new targets."
