LRA Releases Results from Curionopolis

Gold Newsletter (05/25/2010)
"Lara Exploration completed 14 of 15 planned diamond drill holes on behalf of its 50%-JV partner Vertical Mineracao at the Curionopolis iron project in Brazil. Lara released results from the first seven drill holes, all of which intercepted significant intervals and grades of iron mineralization starting from surface to depths of about 110 meters down hole. Highlights include Hole 1 (with 10.0 meters of 58.95% iron and 30.0 meters of 48.63% iron), Hole 2 (with 39.0 meters of 62.16% iron) and Hole 3 (with 13.5 meters of 65.05% iron and 35.1 meters of 54.95%).

The JV covers only 1,500 hectares of the property, with Lara controlling the remaining 8,500 hectares, where it has identified several gold-copper targets. These comprise a series of IOCG-type (iron oxide copper gold) veins with artisanal workings. Grab samples of those veins have returned grades as high as 8.4 g/t gold and 31.5% copper. This project, one of many in Lara's stable, is just another reason why this well-managed prospect generator remains a buy in our portfolio."
