"Yesterday I had a meeting Hawthorne Gold Corp (HGC.v, HWTHF.pk) CEO Richard Barclay, the mining legend who founded Bema and Eldorado Gold. His third venture was Nevada Pacific that was taken over by U.S. Gold. Hawthorne is his fourth and latest one. He told me that they are going to drill out the Taurus area after the exciting new discovery just announced yesterday. Because they are very close to surface, open pit is possible. They are going to drill out the area and news will come in the next few weeks. He told me that they are planning to use an innovative approach to mine the historical small underground mine of Taurus. He personally likes Apollo's Black Fox approach the best and he was following Apollo closely. The geology in the Taurus camp is very similar to Timmins area. If you remember seeing my picture holding Apollo Grey Fox #10 sample in my hand, these are highly fractured quartz vein system. Exactly the same system appears in his camp. He believes he can 'build another Black Fox' in the West Coast, just like he did in Bema and Eldorado Gold. Another newsletter writer, Bob Moriarty from 321gold, just published buy recommendation about HGC. I agree with the author that with only 30 million market cap, great assets and management track record, HGC offers a great buying opportunity right here." |
