"Yesterday morning, Colossus released the first results from its Phase II diamond drill program of the Serra Pelada Project, the Colossus-COOMIGASP joint venture located in Para State, Brazil. It was another set of great results. Hole SPD-20A returned 27.9 m grading 35.49 g/t gold, 19.89 g/t platinum and 25.14 g/t palladium. This is 28.0 m of 67.8 g/t gold-equivalent and at spot prices this is more than US$2000/t material. Hole DPD-021 returned 17.8 m grading 16.15 g/t gold, 1.69 g/t platinum and 2.7 g/t palladium. This is 18.0 m of 19.63 g/t gold-equivalent. These great results highlight the unique high quality of the Serra Pelada project. Commenting on the results, and helping explain the delay in releasing them, Colossus' President Vic Wall said, 'Colossus' Phase II Drilling program has begun well after bedding down a new drilling contractor and changed commercial preparation laboratory and analytical services. The first drilling results have added value to the Serra Pelada Central Mineralized Zone, demonstrating continuity and greater extents of related high grade gold-& PGE-rich subzones. Colossus' Serra Pelada team has done a good job through a wet, wet season.' Further assay results from the Phase II drill program will be released when received."
