High-Grade Drilling Results Continue to Delineate F2 Zone

TIMOTHY LEE, Salman Partners (04/27/2009)
"As its high-grade gold discovery continues to take shape, it may only be a matter of time before Rubicon becomes a takeover target. Rubicon's Phoenix Project is located in the heart of the Red Lake camp, and the F2 Zone on the property appears to have characteristics similar to other deposits that have been mined in the camp. As the zone continues to grow, Phoenix looks increasingly like a project that would fit nicely into the hands of a producer. With its dominant land position in the area, Goldcorp Inc. (G-T: $36.00) appears to be a logical suitor.

On April 27, Rubicon released drilling results from the F2 gold zone, located on its 100%-owned Phoenix Property in the Red Lake area of northwestern Ontario.

Results are from infill drilling within the core area as well as the northeast and southwest extensions of the zone. The holes yielded numerous gold-rich intersections within the zone, with several holes encountering broad sections containing multiple high-grade intervals. High-grade highlights include 239 g/t gold over 1m in the northeast and 124.3 g/t gold over 3m in the southwest. Hole F2-61B encountered a wide interval of 3.6 g/t gold over 49m (including 6.5 g/t gold over 13m and 9.1 g/t gold over 5m). Hole F2-57 hit a broad interval of 12.3 g/t gold over 30m within the basalt host unit in the northeast.

Rubicon also drilled one reconnaissance hole about 1.4km to the northeast of the F2 Zone. This hole hit 12.8 g/t gold over 1m and 3.6 g/t gold over 3m in a new 'Footwall East' area."
