Midland Acquires Dunn Property

ERIC LEMIEUX, Laurentian Bank Securities (03/23/2009)
"Midland has announced last week that is has acquired, via staking 39 claims covering 1,534 hectares, near the junction of the Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone and Manneville Fault. This property, 35km northeast of Rouyn-Noranda, is strategically located in a prolific gold-conducive setting. We understand that the property has quality targets and has only seen 10 historical diamond drill holes. We also understand that important gold structures highlighted by magnetic break along the contact between ultramafic and mafic rocks are located in extensions of this new property called Dunn.

We view this type of acquisition favorably as it is a testament of good project-generation capability. We believe that this type of acquisition highlights Midlands' dynamic management and technical team. We highlight that Midlands presence in the Abitibi gold camp is strengthened with this inexpensive acquisition.

We reiterate our speculative buy recommendation with a $1.25 target price on Midland shares. We note that Midland is presently conducting with Agnico-Eagle, past owner of the Dunn property, a drill campaign on the Maritime-Cadillac project (south of the Lapa Mine) and expect drilling results by summer."
