Giant Mining Corp. (CSE: BFG; OTC:BFGFF; FWB:YW5) reported that an independent RESPEC study confirmed its updated geological model at the Majuba Hill Copper-Silver-Gold Project. The report will guide a planned up to 10,000-foot drill program targeting breccia-hosted copper and silver mineralization.

Giant Mining Corp. (CSE: BFG; OTC:BFGFF; FWB:YW5) announced that it completed an independent recommendations report prepared by RESPEC Company, LLC for its Majuba Hill Copper-Silver-Gold Project in Pershing County, Nevada. According to the company, the report reviewed the updated geological framework and provided an exploration roadmap intended to support ongoing evaluation of the project.

The company stated that the report, together with its technical team, will guide an up to 10,000-foot drill program that had been previously announced in a January 30, 2026, news release. The RESPEC report recommended a focus on discovery-driven exploration and identified recognition of the tourmaline breccia pipe-hosted copper system as a technical advancement that improves the ability to target higher-grade mineralization and assess development possibilities.

David Greenway, President and CEO of Giant Mining Corp., said in a company news release, "The independent RESPEC report represents a transformational technical milestone for Giant Mining and significantly advances our understanding of the opportunity at Majuba Hill."

The company reported that the RESPEC findings included identification of tourmaline breccia pipes as a key control of copper mineralization, recognition that high grade copper and silver mineralization may occur in discrete breccia zones, and a recommendation to reevaluate historical drilling, surface data, and geophysics within the context of the updated deposit model prior to systematic drilling. The report also noted that future development scenarios would depend on discovering additional high-grade breccia bodies and defining their spatial distribution.

According to the company, Majuba Hill covers approximately 9,684 acres in Nevada and has approximately 89,395 feet of drilling completed to date. The company stated that secured funding is in place for the next phase of drilling at the project.

Copper Prices Hit Record Highs as Exploration Interest Shapes Early 2026 Trends

Industry reporting on February 18 stated that copper prices had "blown through all-time highs, touching US$14,500/t at one point in January before settling at around US$12,850/t." The same report noted that "record copper prices are lighting up" exploration and development activity and that "valuations are rising" as investor attention shifted toward smaller scale projects. It also cited commentary indicating that copper had been "finally responding to rising demand from data centres, AI and electrification." In discussing supply characteristics, an industry executive said that "around about 80-90% of the world's global supply comes from porphyry copper."

Michael Ballanger wrote on February 20 that copper prices had previously moved above US$6.00 per pound before declining, stating that the market had "shed nearly 15% since late January." He noted that the relative strength index had fallen to 47.96 from levels above 70 in December, describing the current level as "not necessarily a 'buy signal'," but adding that it was "probably safe to begin either building or buying back" positions sold during the earlier price spike.

According to a February 23 update from Couloir Capital, copper prices had risen by 0.7% during the week as "short covering and buying interest in thin trading conditions" supported the market after earlier weakness. The firm also stated that "rising inventories and weak near-term demand" had continued to cap price gains.

"A U.S.-Focused Copper Exploration Company" Positioned Around the Majuba Hill Project

1John Newell wrote on February 11 that Giant Mining Corp. was "a U.S.-focused copper exploration company listed on the CSE, with its primary asset being the Majuba Hill Copper Project in Nevada." He stated that the company had "spent several years methodically advancing this project through drilling, geophysics, and geological modeling, steadily building a large technical dataset while operating in one of the most mining-friendly jurisdictions in the world."

In the same analysis, Newell described Majuba Hill as "a large, porphyry-style copper system located in Pershing County, Nevada," adding that "historic underground production at Majuba Hill dates back to the early 1900s and includes copper, silver, gold, and tin." He further noted that "recent programs have focused on expanding known copper mineralization, testing deeper sulphide targets, and following up on resistivity anomalies generated through modern geophysics and AI-assisted targeting."

Newell also discussed policy developments, writing that Project Vault "signals that the U.S. government is now treating copper and other critical metals as strategic assets," and stated that "for companies exploring copper in the United States, this policy shift improves the long-term backdrop."

He further wrote that Giant Mining had "approximately 105 million shares outstanding and roughly 123.4 million shares fully diluted," and stated that "at recent prices, this places the company in the sub-CA$30 million market capitalization range."

Newell concluded that Giant Mining "remains a Speculative Buy at the current level of CA$0.30."

Ongoing Drill Advancement and Exploration Activities at Majuba Hill

Company materials stated that the Majuba Hill Project has continued exploration and drilling activities, including diamond core drilling initiated in 2024. Two drill holes, MHB-30 and MHB-31, were completed as part of this program. Hole MHB-30 was drilled to a depth of 800 feet and maintained a planned azimuth of 230 degrees with a minus 70 degree inclination, while hole MHB-31 reached a depth of 1,086 feet and maintained a planned azimuth of 310 degrees with a minus 50 degree inclination. Both holes were quick logged, sampled, and tagged on site.

The company also reported that new road construction was completed to enhance access to the Majuba Hill Porphyry Copper Deposit and provide improved entry to key target areas. Earlier work included drilling programs carried out in 2020, 2021, and 2022, which involved core and reverse circulation drilling, soil sampling, and geophysical surveys.

Company materials stated that geophysical work included drone magnetic surveys covering 322 line kilometers and induced polarization and resistivity surveys that added 49.5 line kilometers of data to historical records. Soil sampling programs expanded target zones, including the DeSoto Target and Copper Gold Target, with anomalous values of copper, silver, gold, lead, molybdenum, and zinc identified.

The company also reported that geological work included structural mapping, thin section analysis, dating techniques, and an investigation into intrusive rocks and hydrothermal alteration. Integration of geological data with magnetic and IP surveys indicated that sulfide copper porphyry mineralization extends northeasterly and that oxide copper mineralization remains open in all directions.
