"Kent Exploration released an update this morning on exploration activities at its Alexander River Gold Property in New Zealand. . .the company announced some encouraging results from an IP survey but is still waiting for a drill permit from the New Zealand Department of Conservation. Kent is up half a penny to 11.5 cents on low volume."

   James West, Midas Letter (06/23/10)
"Kent Exploration just completed an 8-hole diamond drill program on the company's Gnaweeda Gold Project in Western Australia. The company is also awaiting IP results from the Alexander River Gold Project in New Zealand, and is just one small step away from going into production on a high-grade barite property in Washington. All the while battling the highly controversial Australian Super Profit Tax proposition, Kent Exploration believes it has the goods to ride out this particularly cumbersome political storm.

. . .Far away from the golden sands and soil of Australia and New Zealand lies the property promising to inject a much-appreciated flow of cash into Kent circulation: the Flagstaff Barite Property located approximately 10 miles west of Northport Washington, and 15 miles south of Rossland, BC. [The propety] is highly prospective for both gold and silver mineralization. In 1981, CE Minerals of Athens, Georgia, outlined a historic resource of over 1.3 million tons of 4.2 specific gravity barite while drill defining on the open-pittable, barite deposit."

TGR: Any of those other no-brainers that you see out there?

VG: There are companies that aren't necessarily absolute no-brainers that are still significantly interesting.

Kent Explorations is one that is doing very good work and building shareholder value. They're trading around the $.20 range. We've talked about them in the past. They're separating their assets into two different companies to give Kent, and ultimately the new company, Archean Star, shareholders more value.

A lot of times you'll see companies have 10 properties in their portfolio and really one of them is getting value, maybe two. There are eight or nine others in the portfolio, so the way to unlock that value is to put them in a vehicle where they can get all the attention that's needed to build those new projects. Graeme O'Neill, the president of the company, saw that. Very quickly he decided that a spinning off of the Australian assets and the New Zealand assets into a new company was the best way to unlock value for the shareholders while maintaining the other properties in a vehicle that could be worked on. So Kent right now is at $.20. What they're doing with their spinoff is with every four shares you own of Kent you'll get one of Archean Star. You'll be able to participate in both stories just by owning one.

   Bull Market Run (03/14/10)
"Volume has picked up considerably on this stock over the past couple of weeks. Kent closed at 19 cents Friday, unchanged on the week. . .the company has started drilling its Gnaweeda Gold Project in Australia, a joint venture with Teck, and Kent also announced after the close on Friday that the proposed Archean Star Resources spin-off will be voted on by shareholders April 30.

Kent shareholders will receive approximately one share in Archean Star for every four Kent shares held. . .that's a nice little 'dividend,' and what's also interesting is that the proposed financing for Archean Star is at 25 cents; this and other factors (drilling at Gnaweeda and Alexander River in the near future, as well as expected barite production out of Flagstaff) provide the ingredients for a potentially major move in the Kent share price. . .this is a very well-run company with a portfolio of high-quality projects. We're expecting big things out of Kent and we're confident it will deliver."

The Gold Report Interview with Clive Maund (02/17/10)
"Kent Exploration is in a broad uptrend with bullishly aligned moving averages. Bull hammer in Kent last Friday, when it looks like it may have hit a cyclical low. On an upside breakout by gold, it should run up to recent highs at about 24 cents and could carry on somewhat higher."
