  Miranda Gold Corp.

TICKER:  TSX.V:MAD
DESCRIPTION:  Miranda Gold Corp. is a gold exploration company concentrating its generative efforts in Nevada's Cortez Gold Trend, Alaska and Colombia. Mitigating the risk of exploration is done through its JV business model, allowing the company to be active on 15 projects without diluting share structure or treasury—which currently sits at CAD$10.5M. Led by some of the most experienced and talented geologists in Nevada, Miranda Gold is committed to the exploration and discovery of world-class deposits in some of the most promising gold districts in the world.

"Best buys currently are Miranda Gold. . .cash-rich with multiple projects."

Adrian Day, Adrian Day's Global Analyst (08/08/10)
"The company now has six active joint venture properties, including one in Colombia, and is actively working on concluding a few more. More importantly, perhaps, almost 40,000 feet of drilling (almost $4M) is scheduled for Miranda's properties by the end of the year.

Miranda has multiple projects in prospective areas, with active JV drilling programs and $10.5M in cash. Results from this drilling, on multiple properties over the next six to nine months, as well as a sound agreement on its Ester Dome property, could energize Miranda's stock. . .we are happy accumulating positions around the current price, which represents a market-cap of less than $22M, just twice cash in the bank."

"Miranda is a solid prospect generator; it has good management and a good cash position. The company did a fundraising a few months ago, which kind of raised a few eyebrows because they didn't really need the money. But people always say: "Raise money when you don't need it." They have most of their good properties in Nevada farmed out in JVs, and now they've done a deal in Colombia where they're looking for the same deposit type that they are currently exploring in Nevada. Their chief geologist used to work in Colombia, so he's familiar with the territory and has some good contacts. Colombia has a long history of gold mining. . .So, Miranda's got maybe 10 active projects in Nevada with several JV partners, some of them drilling in the next few months. There's also the big package of properties in Colombia, and Miranda plans to review those quickly and start joint venturing them under the same model used in Nevada. . .I think all the ingredients are there—the people, capital and properties; it's just a matter of being patient. I like that one a lot; I'd certainly be a buyer at this level."

The Gold Report Interview with Matt Badiali (05/21/10)
"I think Miranda has a lot of upside. I like the prospect-generator business model. If you're going to invest in juniors, I really think you ought to focus on prospect generators, such as Miranda. They are really very, very good explorers. What they do is they go out and find projects and bring projects to partners.

These prospect generators do the hard preliminary work, the real Sherlock Holmes part—finding these projects, sniffing them out and getting them ready to drill. Then, before they have to spend a lot of money drilling, they find someone with deep pockets who would like to do that. After that, the prospect generator gets carried. In other words, they don't have to spend any more money; but they still own anywhere from 35%–49% of the project. That's what Miranda does.

These folks are very, very smart. I have been in the field with them. They have just signed a new joint venture with Ramelius Resources Limited, an Australian listing, to come in and drill their projects in Nevada.

Miranda has expanded its scope out from its Nevada focus, too, and I'm pretty excited about that. When I met them in Toronto for the big PDAC conference in March, they said they were headed to Colombia looking for gold. I wish them the best. Ken Cunningham is one of the smartest geologists I've met, and his team is tremendous."

TGR: Who are you following in Colombia?

BC: Miranda Gold Corp. is as much a people bet as a geology bet. I know the guys running it and I've spent time with the geologist there. It's a top-notch group. They've recently moved down into Colombia, and they've been active in Nevada. Nevada and Colombia are two of the best places in the world to be looking for gold, for sure. Miranda does it intelligently in that they follow a prospect generator or joint-venture model. They generate ideas and bring in major companies to spend the high-risk dollars drilling these things out. If your odds are 1 in 1,000 on any particular property, it makes a lot more sense to have somebody else spend the high-risk dollars rather than you at the expense of diluting your shareholders out to oblivion. I think they're a good group doing good work, and they're in two of the best provinces in the world to be looking for gold.
