"The D-3 zone has grown from a single discovery hole to a well-established oxide gold zone in under six months," President and CEO Cal Everett said in the release.
Now, D-3 extends 400 meters (400m) in a north-south direction and 250m-plus in an east-west direction. It traverses under the historical B Pit and the D-1 zone, the company noted.
Liberty Gold stated that D-3 keeps returning thick intervals of oxide gold mineralization. For example, hole LBP189 showed 1.01 grams per ton (1.01 g/t) gold over 62.5m, including 1.94 g/t gold over 25.9m. Hole LBP203 returned 1.5 g/t gold over 27.4m.
"Results continue to support the concept that the Black Pine mineralized system consists of a series of stacked high grade oxide gold zones separated by a halo of mineralized material above a projected 0.2 gram cutoff grade, in the 0.2–0.5 g/t of gold range," Everett stated.
"Definition drilling on tight drill centers will support a maiden, pit-constrained resource estimate to be completed in late Q1, 2021," Everett said.[NLINSERT]
