Silver North Reports 1,669 g/t Silver Intersection at Yukon Haldane Property
Silver North Resources Ltd. (SNAG:TSX.V; TARSF:OTCQB; I90:FSE) just reported new high-grade silver results from its Haldane Silver Property in Yukon's historic Keno Hill Silver District, including an intersection of 4.41 meters averaging 1,669 grams per tonne (g/t) silver,0.34 g/t gold, 3.33% lead, and 2.00%zinc.
The results, announced on October 14, came from the first three holes of the company's completed 24-hole 2026 drilling program. The campaign totaled 6,169 meters and focused on expanding silver, gold, lead, and zinc mineralization along strike and downdip at the Main Fault target.
Hole HLD26-41 returned 4.41 meters, representing an estimated true width of 3.87 meters, averaging 1,669 g/t silver, 0.34 g/t gold, 3.33% lead, and 2.00% zinc. The interval was contained within a broader 12.16-meter intersection, with an estimated true width of 10.67 meters, averaging 727 g/t silver, 0.31 g/t gold, 3.20% lead, and 2.05% zinc.
The broader interval began at 241.09 meters downhole and returned 776 g/t silver equivalent. The Main Fault structure itself was intersected over an estimated true width of 16.20 meters and averaged 524 g/t silver equivalent.
Individual high-grade intervals within HLD26-41 included 0.30 meters estimated true width grading 4,910 g/t silver and 0.41 meters estimated true width grading 6,640 g/t silver.
The hole intersected the Main Fault approximately 34 meters updip and 40 meters southwest along strike from HLD25-31, which had previously been the deepest hole drilled at the target before the 2026 program, and intersected 13.15 meters of 818 g/t silver, 1.39 g/t gold, 2.54% lead, and 0.98% zinc.
"The Main Fault continues to deliver strong silver grades over wide intersections, with HLD26-41 rivaling last year's hole 31 as the best hole drilled to date at Haldane," stated Jason Weber, P.Geo., President and CEO of Silver North, in the company's October 14 news release.
Weber said the host structure remained strong in all directions and noted that high silver grades continued as drilling advanced southwest from HLD25-31.
The company reported that higher silver grades in HLD26-41 were associated with relatively lower concentrations of galena. Silver North suggested this could indicate silver-bearing sulphosalts associated in some instances with finely banded siderite veining.
Results from HLD26-40 also identified mineralization within the Main Fault structure, approximately 80 meters downdip and 20 meters southwest along strike from HLD25-31.
The hole intersected 5.44 meters, or 3.95 meters estimated true width, averaging 277 g/t silver, 0.21 g/t gold, 6.16% lead, and 0.88% zinc. The intersection returned 388 g/t silver equivalent.
Within that interval, a 2.94-meter section averaging 507 g/t silver, 0.36 g/t gold, 11.30% lead, and 1.60% zinc returned 709 g/t silver equivalent. A narrower 0.40-meter interval graded 2,020 g/t silver, 1.48 g/t gold, 26.39% lead, and 3.37% zinc.
Separately, HLD26-40 intersected previously unknown mineralization approximately 120 meters uphole from the Main Fault.
That 0.80-meter interval, representing 0.58 meter estimated true width, returned 1,985 g/t silver, 0.49 g/t gold, 5.68% lead, and 0.15% zinc, according to the company's results table.
The mineralization occurred within an oxidized zone of rubble core containing galena. Because of the fragmented core, the company could not determine the orientation of the intersection.
Silver North identified the occurrence as a possible new vein target within the hanging wall of the Main Fault structure, subject to further investigation.
The third reported hole, HLD26-39, intersected the Main Fault approximately 50 meters downdip from HLD25-31. The structure was interpreted to be approximately 12 meters wide in true width and contained two siderite-veined and brecciated zones separated by fault-influenced phyllitic quartzite.
The upper interval returned 2.30 meters, averaging 84 g/t silver, 0.17 g/t gold, 0.34% lead, and 1.00% zinc. A second interval of 2.62 meters averaged 150 g/t silver, 0.17 g/t gold, 1.78% lead, and 1.22% zinc.
Silver North's road-accessible Haldane property covers 8,579 hectares, approximately 25 kilometers west of Keno City, adjacent to Hecla Mining Co.'s (HL:NYSE) producing Keno Hill Silver Mine property. The property contains multiple occurrences of silver-lead-zinc-bearing quartz-siderite veins resembling those mined within the Keno Hill district.
The company calculated silver-equivalent grades using assumed recoveries of 92% for silver, 70% for gold, 88% for lead, and 70% for zinc, based on metallurgical studies of analogous vein deposits. Silver North stated that no metallurgical work had been reported on the Haldane property and that the assumed recoveries might not reflect its actual metallurgy.
Silver Market Supply, Demand, and Price Trends
The global silver market recorded its fifth consecutive annual supply deficit in 2025, according to the World Silver Survey 2026, published in April by the Silver Institute and prepared by Metals Focus. The report documented a shortfall of 40.3 million ounces despite a 7% increase in total supply and a 2% decline in overall demand.
Global silver mine production increased 3% to 846.6 million ounces in 2025, supported by higher output in Central and South America. North American production, however, declined to a decade low as operational disruptions, policy changes, and declining grades in Mexico outweighed production gains in the United States and Canada. Global recycling increased 2% to 197.6 million ounces, its highest level in 13 years.
The survey described the silver market as having entered "an era of reduced stocks," following several years of supply deficits and shifts in physical inventories.
Industrial silver demand totaled 657.4 million ounces in 2025, declining 3% as reduced photovoltaic consumption and efforts to use less silver offset growth associated with artificial intelligence data centers, high-speed transmission equipment, electric vehicles, and charging infrastructure. Meanwhile, demand for silver coins and bars increased 14%.
The report also projected a sixth consecutive annual silver supply deficit for 2026, estimating a shortfall of 46.3 million ounces. Its forecasts included a modest decline in mine production and continued demand from industrial applications, including AI infrastructure, automotive technology, and electrical power grids.
Technical analyst Stewart Thomson assigned Silver North Resources a "Speculative Buy" rating and identified potential profit-booking levels of CA$0.45 in the short term, CA$0.65 in the medium term, and CA$1.00 over the longer term.1
In an October 13 commentary published by Kitco Media, Jeffrey Christian of CPM Group discussed precious metals trading conditions. According to the commentary, gold and silver had traded sideways as competing market forces influenced investor sentiment.
Christian identified investment demand, interest rates, inflation, and political developments as factors influencing precious metals markets. The commentary noted that silver had remained near US$60 per ounce, while CPM Group identified US$54.50 as a possible lower price level if silver broke below its prevailing trading range.
The commentary also discussed the influence of rising real interest rates, bond market conditions, and the November 3 congressional elections on precious metals investment decisions. CPM Group maintained an expectation of higher precious metals prices beyond the following several weeks, although Christian also described the possibility of a short-term selloff before renewed investment buying.
According to Trading Economics, silver traded at approximately US$57.19 per troy ounce on October 19, gaining 0.35% during the session. Despite the daily increase, the metal had declined 13.32% over the preceding month while remaining 9.33% higher year over year.
In its October 19 market update, titled "Silver Gains as Fed Rate Hike Bets Ease," Trading Economics reported that silver had extended its recent gains as investors reduced expectations for an October Federal Reserve interest rate increase. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh had delivered remarks at the International Monetary Fund's annual meetings in Bangkok on October 16, indicating that stronger-than-expected inflation had not changed his assessment of the U.S. economy.
The report stated that markets had assigned approximately an 84% probability to unchanged interest rates at the October 27–28 Federal Reserve meeting. Trading Economics also identified increased safe-haven demand for precious metals amid concerns about artificial intelligence-related investments, declining equity markets, and lower bond yields. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, along with protests in several European countries, have contributed to broader financial market uncertainty.
Trading Economics described silver as "a widely traded precious metal with both industrial and investment applications," noting its use in electronics, solar panels, and medical technologies. The platform also identified investment demand and industrial consumption as factors influencing silver prices.
Third-Party Commentary on Haldane Silver Results and Technical Indicators
In an October 19 commentary, mining commentator Bob Moriarty of 321gold.com discussed the first three reported drill holes from Silver North Resources Ltd.'s 2026 Haldane program. He highlighted the high-grade silver results from HLD26-41 and the previously unknown mineralization encountered in HLD26-40 above the Main Fault. His commentary also discussed the company's position in the Keno Hill Silver District and its share-price performance.
Moriarty expressed a favorable view of Silver North's exploration prospects and the silver market.
In a September 16 commentary published by The Silver Stock Investor, silver market analyst Peter Krauth discussed Silver North Resources Ltd.'s completed 2026 exploration program at its Veronica Property in Yukon's Silvertip District. Krauth highlighted the company's efforts to expand a 1.2-kilometer by 1-kilometer multi-element soil anomaly and investigate the Lodge and Cooper showings, where earlier sampling had returned grades of up to 2,860 g/t silver.
Krauth also pointed to the company's evaluation of additional magnetic and VTEM geophysical targets, noting that crews had collected 1,112 soil samples and 53 rock samples. He identified the pending analytical results and their integration with geological mapping and geophysical data as important steps toward refining future drilling targets at Veronica.
While identifying Haldane as Silver North's primary exploration attraction, Krauth expressed optimism about Veronica's potential contribution to the company's portfolio.
He wrote, "Haldane remains the main attraction, but Veronica has real potential to be meaningful." Krauth also disclosed that he maintained a full portfolio weighting in Silver North and considered the shares attractive to accumulate during periods of price weakness.
In his broader silver market commentary, Krauth cited persistent supply deficits, industrial demand, and investment demand as factors supporting his longer-term outlook for the metal. He argued that sustained higher silver prices could benefit exploration and mining companies, while acknowledging the possibility of short-term price volatility associated with Federal Reserve interest rate decisions.
1In an August 20 report, technical analyst Stewart Thomson assigned Silver North Resources a "Speculative Buy" rating, pointing to several bullish chart formations and technical indicators. With shares trading at CA$0.26 at the time of his analysis, Thomson identified potential profit-booking levels of CA$0.45 in the short term, CA$0.65 in the medium term, and CA$1.00 over the longer term.
His monthly chart analysis showed a breakout from a bull wedge and rectangle base, supported by increased trading volume and rising on-balance volume. Thomson also identified a developing stochastics crossover buy signal. On the daily chart, he observed a bull flag formation, bullish MACD divergence, and resistance near CA$0.46.
Comparing Silver North's performance against the CDNX Index, Thomson identified an inverse head-and-shoulders formation that he said indicated "long-term outperformance for the company's stock price is beginning now."
Beyond the technical indicators, Thomson examined the company's Yukon exploration portfolio, including its planned 5,000- to 7,000-meter drilling campaign at Haldane, completed SkyTEM survey, and additional targets at West, Bighorn, Johnson, and Middlecoff. He also reported that Silver North had raised more than CA$13 million and secured exploration funding through 2027.
Thomson acknowledged several risks, including whether high-grade drill intersections would ultimately establish a continuous, economically mineable resource. He also cited potential shareholder dilution, silver price fluctuations, Yukon's seasonal operating conditions, permitting requirements, and regulatory considerations.
What Comes Next? Pending Haldane Assays and Results From Completed Yukon Exploration Programs
Silver North completed its largest Haldane drilling campaign to date in 2026, totaling 24 holes and 6,169 meters. With results from three holes announced on October 14, assays from the remaining 21 holes are outstanding. The company expects to receive those results during the fourth quarter of 2026.
The completed drilling program focused on extending silver, gold, lead, and zinc mineralization along strike and downdip at the Main Fault target. The company's corporate presentation reported that 2025 drilling had extended Main Fault mineralization to more than 100 meters along strike and approximately 150 meters downdip, with the mineralized structure extending more than 300 meters downdip from surface mineralization.
Additional evaluation of the previously unknown mineralization intersected in HLD26-40 was another area of interest following the October results. The 0.80-meter interval, grading 1,985 g/t silver, occurred approximately 120 meters above the Main Fault and had not previously been recognized as a vein target.
Weber stated that further work was required to determine the significance of the intersection and identify potential follow-up exploration targets. No specific follow-up drilling schedule for the new occurrence was announced in the October 14 release.
Beyond the Main Fault, Silver North's February presentation identified three additional silver-bearing vein targets at Haldane: West Fault, Bighorn, and Middlecoff.
At West Fault, previous drilling had added approximately 100 meters of strike length and 90 meters of dip extent to the mineralized structure. The company characterized the mineralization as open along strike and at depth, with veins occurring at two structural levels.
Bighorn was identified as another discovery area, while Middlecoff was included among the property's additional exploration targets. The presentation also identified the Johnson vein, which had a history of high-grade silver production.
Silver North reported that more than 12 kilometers of cumulative vein strike length had been identified at Haldane, with less than one kilometer tested at the time of its February presentation.
Silver North's Yukon exploration portfolio also includes the Tim property in the Silvertip District, where Coeur Mining Inc. (CDE:TSX;CDE:NYSE) previously conducted exploration under an option agreement. On April 28, 2026, Silver North announced that Coeur intended to terminate the agreement effective May 24, 2026, leaving Silver North with full ownership of the property.
Located approximately 19 kilometers north of Coeur's Silvertip Mine, the Tim property has been explored for carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) mineralization, including targets associated with the Wolf Fault. Coeur's completed exploration work included a 2,250-meter, six-hole drilling program in 2024 targeting the Wolf Fault and a potential CRD-style mineralizing system.
One reported intersection from that program, TIM24-Pad04-002, returned 3.39 meters averaging 52.8 g/t silver, 0.28 g/t gold, 0.11% lead, and 0.27% zinc. Earlier trenching also returned 4 meters grading 468.1 g/t silver, 21.1% lead, and 0.3% zinc, along with a separate 8.8-meter interval grading 265.0 g/t silver, 6.7% lead, and 0.9% zinc.
Following the termination of the option agreement, Silver North identified opportunities to evaluate Tim alongside its adjacent Veronica property. The company's April announcement highlighted the potential to combine historical drilling and trenching information with geophysical, geochemical, and geological datasets from both properties to help guide future exploration.
The change in ownership arrangements returned Tim to Silver North's direct exploration portfolio, with the company's subsequent 2026 fieldwork at Veronica providing additional information for evaluating targets across the two properties.
Silver North's exploration activities also included its Veronica property in the Yukon Silvertip District, where the company announced completion of its 2026 field program on September 10.
The completed program included soil geochemical sampling, detailed prospecting, and geological mapping. It was designed to build on the company's 2025 exploration results and investigate areas considered prospective for carbonate replacement deposit mineralization.
The primary objective was to expand an open-ended multi-element soil geochemical anomaly covering approximately 1.2 kilometers by 1 kilometer. Prospecting and mapping focused on the Lodge and Cooper showings, where previous exploration had identified mineralized float grading 2,860 g/t silver and an outcropping northeast-trending fault returning 33.2 g/t silver.
The 2026 program also investigated targets identified through airborne magnetic and VTEM geophysical surveys. Soil sampling was conducted in selected areas of the southern portion of the property where anomalous geochemical results coincided with magnetic and conductivity anomalies.
Silver North reported collecting 1,112 soil geochemical samples, including 60 from the adjacent Tim property, and 53 rock samples during the program.
The company stated that analytical results would be reported after they had been received, incorporated into the Veronica database, and interpreted alongside the geophysical data and geological mapping completed during the field season.
With fieldwork at Veronica completed, the remaining development to watch is the reporting and interpretation of those results, rather than the commencement of exploration previously outlined in the company's previous presentation.
Taken together, the outstanding Haldane assays, evaluation of the newly encountered Main Fault hanging-wall mineralization, and pending analytical results from Veronica represent the company's identified exploration developments following its completed 2026 field programs.
