Star Gold Corp. (SRGZ:OTCQB) is a U.S. precious metals exploration and development company that is aggressively advancing its flagship Nye County, Nevada Longstreet Gold-Silver Project. Nevada is ranked as the world's most attractive mining jurisdiction in the Fraser Institute's 2025 Annual Survey of Mining Companies.
A SK-1300-compliant technical report was completed in December 2025, and it defined a robust oxidized resource base that is amenable to conventional mining. Based on the new Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) announced September 22, 2026, the project has an estimated pre-tax net present value of US$87 million at gold US$3,600/oz and silver US$48/oz, with a pre-tax internal rate of return of 48%. At US$4,000/oz gold and US$60/oz silver, the net present value would rise to US$122 million, and the return improves to 63%.
On July 15, 2026, the company filed for what could become its most significant capital raise to date, and launched it on September 16. The offering targets up to US$20 million in funding, with estimated net proceeds of approximately US$18.5 million after offering expenses at the maximum offering amount. If successful, the Longstreet project should be able to get to an advanced stage without additional financing.
Currently, the company is advancing hydrologic well drilling and heap-leach pad engineering. It's also conducting infill drilling on the main deposit with the goal of securing an increase in total resource estimates, increasing the life of the mine, and creating additional cash flow, thereby enhancing shareholder value. Management is targeting Q3 or Q4 2027 for a full production permit.
On October 27, 2026, Star Gold secured a long-term lease covering 2,471 acre-feet of water rights for its flagship Longstreet Gold-Silver Project, approximately 3.4 times the company's contingency-adjusted annual requirement of ~720 acre-feet. This milestone clears a key barrier to advancing detailed design engineering and permitting for the heap-leach operation. Bullish charts for both gold and Star Gold suggest the company is on track to execute its business plan as indicated and create significant stakeholder value.
Why Gold and Why Now?
Gold needs no introduction; revered by central banks, it's been the world's greatest financial safe haven for thousands of years. It's the ultimate money and the ultimate portfolio diversifier.
After staging a powerful rally against the dollar over the past few years (from about US$1,600 to US$5,600) in the first half of 2026, gold has been consolidating those gains.
The completed US election looks to be a key catalyst that ends the consolidation and activates a major leg higher. Companies like Star Gold are well-positioned to benefit from the move.

Key 2026 Catalysts for Star Gold
Major Capital Raise: On July 15, 2026, the company filed with the SEC for a Regulation A offering, targeting a raise of about US$20 million. This type of offering, if successful, will give the company a wider shareholder base as well as most or even all the financing it needs to take Longstreet to the next level.
A Bigger Resource Target: The company's rapid progress is made financially possible by another key private placement. The placement is funding the company's substantial drill program. The assays could significantly increase shareholder value with an increase in the Longstreet resource, which already totals an impressive 213,082 ounces gold equivalent (132,414 oz gold + 4.84 million oz silver, indicated and inferred).
The private placement was led by Myrmikan Gold Fund, LLC. In addition, insider participation totaled US$578,231 through the conversion of debt and cash, representing 15.7% of the placement, with contributions from CEO Lindsay Gorrill, Board Director David Segelov, Managing Partner of Reverse Swing Capital, Tom Power, CEO of Sunshine Minting, and CFO Gerry Pascale.
Dan Oliver, Managing Partner of Myrmikan Capital LLC and Myrmikan Gold Fund LLC, commented, "We are pleased to participate in Star Gold's private placement. Star Gold's strategic assets are in one of the world's premier mining jurisdictions and position it for significant growth, particularly with the backdrop of a favorable macroeconomic environment that supports gold and silver prices over the long term."
Bob Moriarty, founder of 321gold.com, said, "I have been on the property and with their open-pit, heap-leach gold and silver project in Nevada's prolific Walker Lane district. Star Gold represents a compelling value opportunity in the junior mining space in terms of both existing resources and exploration potential. I am pleased to participate in this private placement and support the company's development and exploration efforts."
BLM Approval: On June 17, 2026, Star Gold Corp. announced a critical regulatory milestone: full approval from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to advance its development program at the Longstreet Project. This approval specifically targets the engineering and geotechnical data required to finalize the design of the proposed heap leach facility, a cornerstone of the project's economic model. The BLM authorization permits immediate field activities across a 3.7-acre disturbance area on BLM claims, focusing on three high-impact work streams:
- Resource Definition: Drilling at 11 new sites to refine grade continuity and expand confidence in the existing mineralized footprint.
- Water Infrastructure: Installation of three water wells to secure processing water sources and establish a hydrogeologic baseline for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The water lease announced on October 27 clears a key barrier to advancing detailed design engineering and permitting for the heap-leach operation.
- Heap Leach Engineering: Excavation of five geotechnical test pits. These pits are essential for analyzing subsurface soil conditions, which will directly dictate the structural engineering, stability analysis, and liner design of the future heap leach pad. Heap leach pads represent a major capital expenditure. Securing geotechnical data now allows for precise engineering estimates, which reduces the likelihood of cost overruns in the final feasibility study.
Plan of Operations Approval: The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) has approved the company's plan. This approval establishes the authorized pathway for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process and ultimate production permitting. Star Gold can now advance the technical studies that are required for the final production permit.
Road Restoration Permit: The company also received a USFS Use Permit to repair and maintain approximately 2.56 miles of Forest Service Trail 24208, aka Windy Canyon. This work has commenced and restores critical access to Level 2 operational standards, enabling the mobilization of heavy equipment and drilling rigs to the site.
District Potential: Opal Ridge, North, Cyprus Ridge, Red Knob, and other surface targets are part of Star's 2,600-acre land package. Most of those zones have never been drilled at depth. It is possible that Longstreet is the start of a district.

Investor Risks
- Financing & Dilution: As a pre-revenue development company, Star Gold will require additional capital to fund the road to production. The current securities offering under Regulation A may or may not raise all the hoped-for capital.
- Operations: The project's economic viability relies on the successful execution of the heap-leach model.
- Professional Advice: Before taking action with any investment, investors should consult with properly licensed, experienced, and qualified investment advisors and get numerous opinions. Failure to do so increases risk.
Investment Thesis Summary
- Gold Sector: The ultimate investment sector over the long term. That's an ongoing tailwind for Star Gold.
- Technical Analysis: Charts show the company's stock is outperforming both gold bullion and the CDNX index, and the standalone chart favors the bulls.
- Fully Funded Drills in the Ground: If the next drill results confirm high-grade intercepts and can expand the already-substantial 213,082oz resource, this outperformance should intensify.
- Explorer Transition: Exploration companies tend to be valued higher as they transition from basic explorers to engineering and development companies. With gold prices finding a floor in the key US$4,000-US$3,800 support zone and the charts bullish, the company's transition is timely.
- Execution Synergy: The operation plan includes simultaneous resource drilling and pad engineering, compressing its development timeline.
- Production Permit: The company is targeting the final production permit for Q3/Q4 2027, following the Environmental Impact Statement process.
Conclusion
Star Gold's Longstreet project is a premier, near-term production asset in Nevada's Walker Lane, underpinned by a robust SK-1300-compliant resource of 213,082 gold-equivalent ounces (132,414 oz Au and 4.84M oz Ag) across 11.1 million tons. Critical de-risking milestones have been achieved, including the May 2026 U.S. Forest Service approval of the Plan of Operations and road restoration permits, which clear the regulatory path for the upcoming Environmental Impact Statement and final production permitting expected by late 2027. The PEA released on September 22 suggests Longstreet could become a simple, low-strip, oxide heap-leach mine with a rapid payback in today's gold price environment. It is possible that Longstreet is not a single hill, but is the start of a district. Technical viability is confirmed by exceptional metallurgical results showing gold recoveries of 84% via conventional heap leaching on 100% oxide material, supported by a PEA mine-plan strip ratio of approximately 0.8:1. Financially, the company is well-capitalized for execution, having raised about US$3.68 million in early 2026 to fund drilling and permitting.
With additional exploration targets identified and a focused strategy to expand the resource beyond its current inferred and indicated categories, Star Gold is uniquely positioned to transition rapidly from exploration to development, offering stakeholders substantial upside potential in a tier-one mining jurisdiction. Bullish stock charts are validating the company's actions to date and suggest further revaluation of the company is coming.
