Airborne Survey Defines New Targets at Goldbar Spider Lake
On August 27, 2026, Krait Critical Minerals Corp. (KRIT:CSE) announced that it is advancing exploration at its Goldbar Spider Lake project in Northern Ontario following the company's recent public listing on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE). The company has completed a modern airborne geophysical survey and provided an updated National Instrument 43-101 (NI 43-101) technical report, giving it a framework for evaluating priority gold and base-metal targets.
The Goldbar Spider Lake project covers approximately 3,636 hectares across 148 unpatented mining claims in the Tuuri and Walsh townships of the Thunder Bay mining division. The property is located about 20 kilometers (km) east of Terrace Bay and 30 km west-northwest of Marathon within the Western Schreiber-Hemlo Greenstone Belt.
The updated NI 43-101, effective August 7, 2026, evaluated the project's potential for Archean orogenic gold as well as volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS)-style base- and precious-metal mineralization. The report recommended a CA$250,480 exploration program focused on advancing the project's highest-priority targets.
Krait commissioned Geotech Ltd. to conduct a helicopter-borne VTEM Plus electromagnetic and magnetic survey over the property. The survey covered approximately 262 line-kilometers and identified seven conductive zones, which Krait designated as zones A through G.
The late-time electromagnetic responses indicated conductivity-thickness characteristics that may be associated with metallic sulphides and/or graphite. Several of the anomalies coincided with magnetic highs and occurred in geological and structural settings considered prospective for VMS mineralization and structurally controlled gold.
The NI 43-101 also identified several factors that indicate the need for additional investigation of the project's gold potential. These include structural complexity, deformation corridors, hydrothermal alteration, and historical gold values associated with certain base-metal occurrences. According to the company, some of the newly identified conductive zones appear to follow structural controls and locally crosscut the regional magnetic fabric.
Krait's next phase of exploration will focus on integrating historical geological, geochemical, geophysical, and drilling data with the new airborne survey. The company plans to model and invert the VTEM Plus data, and follow it up with helicopter-supported mapping, prospecting, and sampling of priority targets.
The results will help Krait choose targets for potential future drill testing.
