Koryx Copper reports record high-grade copper and silver at the Haib Copper Project in Namibia. See the latest drill results and what they mean for the upcoming PFS.

Koryx Copper SA (KRY:TSXV; KRYXF:OTCQX; KYX:NSX) has delivered standout assay results from its Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia, including the highest copper and silver grades ever recorded at the site.

The standout result came from hole HMRC008, where a 12-meter interval graded 2.39 percent copper and one sample within that interval returned 8.01 percent copper and 60.5 grams per tonne silver.

Why These Results Matter for Investors Right Now

Copper prices have climbed sharply over the past year, supported by low exchange inventories and ongoing supply concerns. The latest drilling at Haib shows both scale and localized high grades that could improve project economics ahead of the planned preliminary feasibility study.

Company Advantage at the Haib Copper Project

Haib is a large, near-surface porphyry copper deposit with associated molybdenum and gold. The project benefits from ongoing infill and expansion drilling that continues to confirm wide mineralized intervals. The drilling continues to refine the grade-shell model, with results expected to expand mineralized zones in some areas while reducing them locally in others.

Key Drill Results and Target Areas

The company recently released results from 17 drill holes totaling 6,430 meters from its ongoing infill and expansion drill program at the wholly owned Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia. These results included multiple long intercepts starting from surface. Hole HM155 returned 831 meters at 0.27 percent copper equivalent, including 244 meters at 0.42 percent copper equivalent. Hole HM147 returned 654 meters at 0.25 percent copper equivalent, including 84 meters at 0.47 percent copper equivalent.

Additional intercepts such as HM139 supported an expected southward extension of the 0.25 percent copper grade shell, while HM152 supported the existing interpretation of mineralization in Target 3. Some holes also indicated localized adjustments to the model, providing valuable data for the upcoming resource update.

Next Catalysts: Resource Update and PFS Timeline

Koryx Copper is nearing completion of its infill drilling phase. Technical studies and cost estimation are advancing toward a preliminary feasibility study targeted for the end of 2026.

Koryx is advancing a PFS base case centered on conventional milling and flotation for sulphide material, while continuing to evaluate processing and infrastructure trade-offs.

Copper Market Context and Sector Timing

In an August 25 Big Go report, copper prices on the London Metal Exchange were described as having pulled back after reaching a record high. Supply constraints and relatively low inventories continue to underpin prices despite recent inventory increases at exchanges.

Trading Economics data timestamped at 06:39 on August 25 showed copper at US$6.6372 per pound, reflecting strong year-over-year gains. An August 25 update by Michael Fisher cited ING analysts Warren Patterson and Ewa Manthey, who said copper had continued to receive support from constrained LME inventories and physical metal flows into the United States.

Views and Valuation Context

According to an August 19 report from investment writer Dominic Frisby, the scale of Haib stands out in the current copper market.

BMO Capital Markets maintains an Outperform rating with a CA$6.00 price target, while Stifel Nicolaus holds a Buy rating with a CA$4.50 price target.

Common Questions from Investors

What is the significance of the 8.01 percent copper intercept?

It represents the highest copper grade recorded at Haib to date and confirms the presence of higher-grade zones that could positively influence project economics.

When is the Haib PFS expected?

Koryx Copper is targeting publication of the preliminary feasibility study at the end of 2026.

How many drill rigs are currently active at Haib?

Fifteen drill rigs are operating, with seven on double shifts.

What processing options are under evaluation?

The PFS base case uses conventional milling and flotation for sulphide material, with potential additional copper cathode production from oxide heap leaching.

What are the main risks highlighted by third-party observers?

Observers note the low overall grade, large capital requirements, and the need for additional financing before project completion.

Retail investors should weigh these factors alongside the project's scale and the supportive copper market environment when evaluating Koryx Copper.
