Steadright Critical Minerals advances its Morocco titanium project as preparatory infrastructure work starts for the TitanBeach pilot plant under a carried interest structure with a state-owned partner.

Steadright Critical Minerals Inc. (SCM:CSE) has moved forward on infrastructure preparation for the pilot plant at its TitanBeach titanium project in Morocco.

The work follows NSM Capital SARL securing a 32% fully carried interest through Shan Tang Mining, with no additional funding or dilution required from NSM or Steadright. This structure gives Steadright an effective attributable interest of approximately 24.5% via its 76.5% ownership in NSM Capital, with an option to increase that stake to 80%.

Why the Carried Interest Structure Matters for Investors

A carried interest means the holder participates in future exploration and production without contributing further capital. For retail investors, this limits dilution risk while preserving upside exposure. The state-owned enterprise partner covers planning, design, permanent works, operations, maintenance, and employee base camp costs at Beach One.

Key Investor Takeaways

  • Preparatory work has started at the permitted Beach One site for the TitanBeach pilot plant.
  • NSM Capital holds a 32% carried interest, requiring no further funding or dilution.
  • Steadright's effective attributable interest stands at approximately 24.5%, with an option to reach 80% ownership in NSM Capital.
  • An analyst raised the TitanBeach valuation to US$17 million and maintained a CA$0.50 target price.
  • Work continues across four Moroccan assets, including stockpile sales and planned drilling.
  • Global critical minerals supply chain diversification remains a strategic priority for governments and manufacturers.

Company Position and Project Portfolio

Steadright focuses on mineral assets in Morocco. Its holdings include the fully permitted historic Goundafa polymetallic mine, the Copper Valley copper-lead-silver project, a letter of intent for SilverLine Mining Sarl, and the TitanBeach heavy mineral sands project along the Atlantic coast.

Shan Tang Mining began site preparation at Beach One, where a mining license was recently approved. The state-owned enterprise partner supplies mining technology, equipment, and beneficiation processing systems. Long-term development plans will depend on pilot plant results.

Steadright CEO Matt Lewis said the company had been impressed by the pace of the preparatory work.

Broader Sector Context

According to the International Energy Agency's Global Critical Minerals Outlook, published July 16, critical minerals have moved to the center of energy and economic security discussions. The agency highlighted the role of critical minerals in energy technologies, high-tech manufacturing, artificial intelligence, aerospace, and defense.

The IEA also examined the economics of diversifying global critical mineral supply chains. Processing and refining capacity remains highly concentrated even when mineral resources are geographically diverse.

In an August 10 column for VoxEU, analysts noted that rents in the critical minerals sector are shifting downstream from extraction toward processing plants and proprietary technologies.

Analyst Valuation and Target Price

Atrium Research maintained its BUY rating and CA$0.50 per-share target on Steadright. The firm raised its valuation of the TitanBeach interest to US$17.0 million from US$15.2 million, citing reduced funding risk and the carried interest structure. Total asset value reached US$37.1 million and equity value CA$43.7 million after adjustments.

Additional Work Streams Across the Portfolio

Steadright's August 2026 investor presentation identifies work programs and planned activities across the TitanBeach, Goundafa, Copper Valley, and SilverLine projects in Morocco.

TitanBeach operations are listed for the third quarter of 2026. At Goundafa, stockpile commercialization of 14,400 tonnes and drilling are planned. Copper Valley and SilverLine also have scheduled work programs.

Who funds the TitanBeach pilot plant infrastructure?

The state-owned enterprise partner covers costs for planning, design, operations, and maintenance.

What is the current analyst target price?

Atrium Research maintains a CA$0.50 target, implying significant upside from recent trading levels.

Which other projects are advancing?
