Tungsten Hits 1,100 PPM at Nevada Project as 70-Kilometer Drone Survey Gets Underway

Vault Strategic Mining Corp. (KNOX:TSXV; KNXFF:OTC; M85O:FWB) is advancing its War Bond Tungsten Project with a high-resolution magnetic survey following Phase 1 sampling that returned tungsten values up to 1,100 ppm.

Vault Strategic Mining Corp. (KNOX:TSXV; KNXFF:OTC; M85O:FWB) announced that it engaged Pioneer Exploration Consultants Ltd. to conduct a previously announced high-resolution, UAV-based airborne magnetic survey at its War Bond Tungsten Project in Nevada. The project encompasses the historical War Bond, Tactite and Thursday tungsten mines.

The planned survey will comprise approximately 70 line-kilometers of airborne magnetic data collection using 25-meter flight lines and 250-meter perpendicular tie lines. The configuration is designed to provide high-density geophysical coverage across the project and assist in identifying magnetic features, structural trends and geological contacts that may be associated with tungsten-bearing tactite and skarn mineralization beneath areas of soil and aeolian sand cover.

The survey follows Vault's recently completed Phase 1 surface sampling program, which included 42 samples from six field areas. The program comprised 30 rock-chip samples and 12 soil samples that were submitted to ALS Geochemistry in Reno, Nevada, for analysis.

Phase 1 rock-chip sampling returned tungsten values of up to 1,100 parts per million. Three samples from the Caved Adit area averaged 780 ppm tungsten, while soil samples collected along an interpreted structural trend returned values of up to 187 ppm tungsten. The company reported that the strongest tungsten results were associated with garnet-bearing tactite and a broader molybdenum-bismuth-copper-manganese pathfinder-element signature.

At the War Bond Pit, garnet-rich tactite samples TT-16 through TT-20 returned between 155 and 1,100 ppm tungsten, compared with 3.6 to 16 ppm tungsten from nearby garnet-poor altered rocks. The Tactite East and West pits averaged 370 ppm and 308 ppm tungsten, respectively. The highest manganese result among the Phase 1 rock assays was 4,430 ppm in sample TT-19, which also returned 460 ppm tungsten.

According to the company, field observations and geochemistry traced mineralization intermittently through soil and aeolian sand cover along an approximately one-mile, or 1.6-kilometer, north-south structural corridor. Estimated exposed surface widths reached approximately 160 feet, or 50 meters, at the War Bond open cut and 100 feet, or 30 meters, at the Tactite open cut. The company noted that these were field estimates and did not represent confirmed true widths or continuity.

"The planned drone-borne magnetic survey and our recent Phase 1 sampling results represent two highly complementary components of our exploration strategy at War Bond," Chief Executive Officer Quinn Field-Dyte stated in a company news release. "This expanding modern dataset will also support the maiden NI 43-101 technical report being prepared by Bill Feyerabend and Amazona Enterprises."

The War Bond claim package consists of 20 unpatented lode mining claims covering approximately 400 acres in the Delaware Mining District of western Nevada. Historical records cited by the company described scheelite-bearing tactite or skarn mineralization associated with granite-limestone contacts and documented limited historical mining or test-lot production.

The company cautioned that historical exploration results, sampling, drilling, and other technical information predated NI 43-101 and did not comply with current NI 43-101 requirements. It said the historical information had not been verified or confirmed and should not be relied upon as current technical disclosure.

Tungsten Supply, Demand, and Strategic Uses Remained in Focus

On August 2, the National Minerals Information Center described tungsten as a metal with applications across industrial, electronic, electrical, and defense-related markets. It stated that "Tungsten (W) is a metal with a wide range of uses, the largest of which is as tungsten carbide in cemented carbides." Those wear-resistant materials were used by the metalworking, mining, and construction industries. Tungsten also had applications in wires, electrodes, and contacts used in lighting, electronics, electrical equipment, heating, and welding, along with heavy metal alloys, superalloys, tool steels, and wear-resistant alloy parts and coatings. The center noted that tungsten composites were used as substitutes for lead in bullets and shot, while tungsten chemical compounds were used in catalysts, inorganic pigments, and high-temperature lubricants.

ChemNet reported on August 4 that the "current global tungsten market is in a state of high tension." According to the report, global tungsten prices had risen by nearly 600% since February 2025 amid robust demand from the aerospace and military sectors. The report described tungsten as a strategic critical mineral that was difficult to substitute and said the United States had continued efforts to rebuild its domestic supply chain.

ChemNet also reported heightened U.S. attention on domestic tungsten resources, while noting the development challenges associated with bringing new supply into production. The report stated that the mineral development cycle was lengthy and that a mine required at least five years to progress from exploration to production, even when land and approval obstacles were resolved. It also cited environmental assessment, land approval, and capital investment among the issues that mineral projects could face during development.

According to a 2026 annual report from Global Market Insights Inc., the global tungsten market was valued at US$7.3 billion in 2025 and was estimated at US$7.6 billion for 2026, with the firm projecting US$11.6 billion by 2035 at a 4.8% compound annual growth rate. The report identified defense and aerospace expansion, electric vehicle and renewable energy infrastructure, and medical imaging and radiation shielding among the market's key drivers. Tungsten carbide represented approximately 60% of the market in 2025, while drilling, boring, and cutting equipment accounted for about 27.8%.

 

Technical Analyst Points to "Buy" Signal

Technical analyst Stewart Thomson rated Vault Strategic a "Buy" on July 21, with a short-term price target of CA$0.42. Thomson said the company's chart showed a "Buy" signal from the MACD indicator, while both the MFI and RSI were bullish.

 

Magnetic Data, Drill Targets, and a Technical Update Ahead

Vault intends to integrate the high-resolution magnetic survey data with its Phase 1 sampling results and available historical information. The combined dataset is intended to better define geological and structural controls on mineralization and refine priority exploration targets.

The company also plans to use the combined information to guide follow-up mapping and sampling and support drill-target generation and drill-permitting activities. The work is also intended to contribute to the technical foundation for Vault's maiden NI 43-101 technical report being prepared by veteran geologist William "Bill" Feyerabend and Amazona Enterprises.

Vault's 2026 roadmap identified drill-target confirmation as a Q3 activity. The company planned to evaluate field results and determine priority zones for drilling, followed by the announcement of priority drill zones for its flagship project.
