Toogood Gold Corp. (TGC:TSXV; TGGCF:OTCQB) expanded its Table Mountain Gold-Silver Project to 228 claims and outlined Phase 2 exploration activities in Lincoln County, Nevada.

Toogood Gold Corp. (TGC:TSXV; TGGCF:OTCQB) announced that it has staked 44 additional Bureau of Land Management lode claims at its Table Mountain Gold-Silver Project in Lincoln County, Nevada, increasing the project to 228 claims covering approximately 1,906 hectares. According to the company, the newly staked claims cover approximately 368 hectares and secure open ground along the interpreted continuation of priority structural corridors, including the Widowmaker Trend and a subparallel arcuate trend, ahead of Phase 2 exploration.

The company said the expanded land package captures extensions of priority arcuate structural corridors, secures more than 10 kilometers of cumulative interpreted strike length along the Widowmaker Trend and a subparallel structural corridor, and provides additional ground for exploration access, staging, and future project infrastructure planning. Reconnaissance soil geochemistry has already been completed across the newly staked claims, with 166 samples collected. The company said those results will be integrated with ongoing geological mapping, prospecting, LiDAR, and geophysical datasets for Phase 2 target evaluation and follow-up exploration.

"This claim expansion is a strategic and timely step as we continue to define the scale, alteration footprint, and structural framework of the low-sulphidation epithermal system at Table Mountain," stated Colin Smith, CEO of Toogood Gold Corp. "The additional claims secure more than 10 kilometers of cumulative interpreted strike length across two priority structural corridors and provide additional high-priority ground for immediate evaluation. With reconnaissance soil sampling complete and Phase 2 CSAMT, prospecting, rock sampling, and mapping set to commence, we are well positioned to advance these corridors toward drill targeting."

Gold Market Navigates Rate Pressures and Global Uncertainty

As of 6:22 a.m. EDT on July 21, the live gold spot price was US$4,081.79 per ounce, up US$66.49, or 1.66%, on the day. Silver traded at US$59.89 per ounce, platinum at US$1,646.00 per ounce, and palladium at US$1,306.93 per ounce. The market data stated that gold spot prices "can fluctuate by the second, driven by investment supply and demand, and other factors."

According to a July 18 report from Couloir Capital, precious metals declined during the week as "stronger Fed rate-hike expectations lifted the U.S. dollar and Treasury yields, raising the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding bullion." The report also stated that mixed signals surrounding the U.S.-Iran conflict contributed to market volatility, while weaker Chinese economic data weighed on base metals by reinforcing concerns over industrial activity and demand.

Couloir Capital wrote that gold prices fell 2.5% during the week as higher oil prices revived inflation concerns and increased expectations that the Federal Reserve could maintain elevated interest rates or tighten policy further. The report added that hawkish comments from Federal Reserve officials reinforced higher Treasury yields and "the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding bullion," outweighing support from softer June inflation data and safe-haven demand.

The report also noted that copper edged lower after weaker Chinese growth and domestic demand data raised concerns about consumption from the world's largest metals buyer. According to Couloir Capital, elevated global inventories, rising Chinese refined production, and weaker imports reinforced near-term demand concerns, although softer U.S. inflation and mine supply disruptions limited the downside.

Matthew Piepenburg wrote on July 19 that he had "never in my 30+ years in the markets... seen a monetary, precious metal and risk-asset setup more obvious yet more deliberately ignored than today." He argued that while attention remained focused on technology and artificial intelligence, "the equally obvious (yet deliberately downplayed) signals from a precious metals market entering a watershed turning point" had received less attention.

Piepenburg also wrote that "the big whales are calmly stacking metal in a deliberately manipulated fire sale as retail investors panic in the fog of daily price action." He added that large financial institutions and central banks recognized that U.S. Treasuries and the U.S. dollar were "no longer the world's neutral collateral in actual practice."

Technical Analyst Highlights Exploration Potential and Technical Setup

1Technical analyst John Newell of John Newell & Associates maintained a Speculative Buy rating on Toogood Gold in a February 13 research report, describing the company as "a high-grade exploration company with multiple paths to value creation." His report pointed to the Quinlan Gold Discovery, recent land consolidation efforts, and the district-scale exploration opportunity in Newfoundland.

Newell wrote that Toogood's "current valuation appears to reflect early-stage status rather than a lack of geological substance." He also stated that the company's capital structure "preserves leverage to exploration success while avoiding excessive dilution."

In his technical analysis, Newell said the stock appeared to be forming a prolonged base following its 2024 correction. He identified the CA$0.20 to CA$0.21 range as the first key resistance level and wrote that "a sustained move above this level would serve as confirmation that the base has resolved to the upside."

The report outlined additional technical price targets of approximately CA$0.24, CA$0.33, and CA$0.45, which Newell associated with previous congestion areas and earlier highs.

Newell concluded, "For investors who understand the risks associated with junior exploration ... Toogood Gold Corp. is considered a Speculative Buy, offering leverage to high-grade discovery potential in a Tier-1 jurisdiction."

Phase 2 Exploration Activities Expand Across Table Mountain

Phase 2 exploration is scheduled to begin in July and includes approximately 20 line-kilometers of controlled-source audio-frequency magnetotellurics surveying. Toogood said it has engaged Zonge International to complete the survey, which will focus on the Widowmaker Trend and a subparallel trend. According to the company, the work is designed to map subsurface resistivity contrasts potentially associated with structures, silicification, alteration, and hydrothermal fluid pathways.

The company also said Big Rock Exploration will conduct Phase 2 prospecting and rock sampling. The program includes targeted follow-up work across priority structural corridors, together with systematic coverage of the broader alteration footprint at Table Mountain.
