San Lorenzo Gold Positions for Growth in Chile Porphyry Belt as Gold Holds Strong in 2026

San Lorenzo Gold Corp. advances porphyry-style gold-copper discovery at Arco de Oro with strong drill intercepts while gold prices remain supported amid global uncertainty.

Global investors continue to watch gold as a reliable store of value during periods of geopolitical tension and shifting monetary policy.

In 2026, the metal has traded with notable resilience even as oil prices, inflation concerns, and central-bank decisions create short-term volatility.

Why San Lorenzo Gold Stands Out in Chile's Porphyry District

San Lorenzo Gold Corp. (SLG:TSXV; SNLGF:OTCMKTS) operates entirely within Chile's renowned mega-porphyry belt, where large-scale gold-copper systems have historically delivered substantial resources.

The company's flagship Salvadora property hosts multiple targets that together provide a diversified exploration pipeline rarely seen in junior miners.

Latest Drill Results Confirm Deeper Porphyry Potential at Arco de Oro

On June 4, 2026, the company released the remaining assay results from Hole SAL 10-25 at the San Juan northwest extension of the Arco de Oro project. Earlier intercepts from Holes 9 and 10, which first demonstrated porphyry-style mineralization, had been announced on May 8, 2026, and can be found here. The newest data revealed additional deeper intercepts throughout the 574-meter hole, including 52.6 meters of 1.67 g/t gold, 48.0 meters of 0.91 g/t gold, and 65.0 meters of 0.81 g/t gold at the bottom of the hole. Silver and copper were also present in the samples.

Both Holes SAL 10-25 and SAL 09-25 were step-out holes designed to test a significant induced-polarization (IP) chargeability anomaly on line D8 identified during the 2025 program. IP surveys measure the electrical properties of rocks and help geologists locate sulphide-bearing mineralization that may not be visible at surface.

VP of Exploration Terence Walker noted that mineralization beginning at roughly 84 meters continued to the bottom of the hole. He emphasized that the porphyry-style mineralization with grade observed to the end of the hole reinforces the presence of a significant system at Arco de Oro. Walker further observed that potassic alteration strengthens toward the bottom, accompanied by multi-directional pyrite-chalcopyrite veins within dioritic intrusives, pointing to multiple episodes of mineralization in a gold-rich porphyry copper-gold environment.

Industry Timing Supports Continued Exploration

Gold opened June 9, 2026, up 0.20 percent at US$4,338.80 after a brief pullback. Earlier in the year, the metal reached a high of US$5,000 per ounce in January.

S&P Global has stated that central-bank buying and geopolitical risk should keep prices structurally supported above recent lows, according to their April 2026 outlook.

Meanwhile, the World Bank forecasts a 17 percent rise in global metals prices for 2026, the first broad increase since 2022, as reported by Recycling Today.

Analyst Raises Target on Expanding Discovery Scale

On June 4, 2026, Argonaut analyst Patrick Streater reiterated a Speculative Buy rating and increased the price target to CA$13.40. He highlighted the growing scale at the San Juan target and raised the exploration target size from 2.0 million ounces to 3.5 million ounces of gold.

Streater noted that demonstrating strike continuity of even 300 to 400 meters at San Juan could position the overall Salvadora project to reach a roughly 10-million-ounce resource.

Multiple Drill Targets Offer Near-Term Catalysts

San Lorenzo has already submitted permitting documents for the Phase 7 program at Salvadora, with pad construction and rig mobilization expected shortly. The investor presentation outlines upcoming work at Cerro Blanco and Arco de Oro, including additional drilling and IP testing.

At Caballo Muerto, the focus remains on expanding the higher-grade intercept of 3.6 grams per tonne gold over 35 meters. At Tres Amigos, the company plans to confirm strike extent and test additional IP anomalies.

Share Structure and Ownership Profile

San Lorenzo Gold Corp. carries a market capitalization of CA$461.71 million based on 103.76 million shares outstanding. The 52-week trading range stands at CA$0.20 to CA$5.97.

1Institutions hold 0.14 percent of the shares, management and insiders own 16.99 percent, and retail investors account for the remaining 82.87 percent.

CEO Al Kroontje pointed out that IP line D8 contains additional chargeability anomalies still to be drilled. Successful testing of those anomalies could extend the mineralized system both in width and along a strike length, potentially exceeding six kilometers. With fresh capital available, the company intends to evaluate several IP anomalies identified in surveys conducted between 2012 and 2018.
