Vanguard Mining Corp. (UUU:CSE; UUUFF:OTC; SL51:FWB) announced that it has identified two new anomalous zones from a 127-sample soil geochemical survey conducted at its 100% owned Brussels Creek Gold-Copper-Palladium Project in the Kamloops Mining District of British Columbia.
A total of 127 soil samples were collected on a systematic grid over prospective ground within the Brussels Creek claim block. Samples returned between 1 and 88 ppb gold and 28 and 221 ppm copper. The survey returned multiple gold and copper anomalous trends, with several samples falling into the 15 to 30 ppb gold range, a notable number in the 30 to 75 ppb gold range, and isolated samples exceeding 75 ppb gold.
The company reported two prominent anomalous zones. A western anomaly of elevated gold-in-soil samples includes the largest sample responses, such as 88 ppb and other upper-tier values, defining a coherent trend coincident with interpreted structural breaks and favorable lithologic contacts, which remains open to the west. An eastern anomaly of 76 ppb gold occurs on the edge of the geochemical survey and has the potential to remain open in multiple directions. The company stated that several gold anomalies remain open along strike and to the north and south.
With the results in hand, Hardline Exploration Ltd. will complete an NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Brussels Creek Project, as previously announced. Hardline is described as an independent geological consulting firm based in Smithers, British Columbia, specializing in mineral exploration services, including geological mapping, geochemical and geophysical program design, data interpretation, and project management.
"The Fall 2025 soil geochemical results from Brussels Creek confirm the presence of robust gold anomalism across multiple structural corridors within the project area," said David Greenway, CEO of Vanguard Mining Corp., in a company news release. He added, "What is particularly encouraging is that several of the stronger gold soil trends — including our western and eastern anomalies — remain open and untested."
The company reported that gold has recently traded at or near all-time highs, supported by record central bank accumulation, geopolitical instability, and investor demand for hard assets. It also stated that global copper inventories remain historically tight, while projected demand growth tied to electric vehicles, battery storage, artificial intelligence data centers, and power grid expansion continues to outpace new supply development.
Vanguard stated that on November 3, 2025, Coeur Mining Inc. announced a definitive agreement to acquire New Gold Inc. in a US$7 billion all-stock transaction, creating a combined US$20 billion mining company. The Brussels Creek Project is located adjacent to New Gold Inc.'s New Afton Mine within the Quesnel Terrane.
Gold and Copper Prices Reached New Highs Amid Geopolitical Tensions
Couloir Capital wrote on February 28 that "Gold prices ended higher by 3.4% during the week as geopolitical uncertainty, with elevated tensions in the Middle East and unresolved U.S.-Iran talks... prompting investors to seek shelter in bullion." The firm added that "Heightened uncertainty surrounding the U.S. economy further supported gold prices."
In the same February 28 commentary, Couloir Capital stated that "Copper prices increased by 3.0% during the week as market sentiment improved following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that struck down U.S. tariffs," noting that the ruling "lifted risk appetite and optimism around industrial metals, particularly in major consuming regions such as China."
Also on February 28, Excelsior Prosperity w/ Shad Marquitz reported that gold closed on February 27 at "a new all-time weekly closing high of $5,247.90," and stated, "All new ATHs are significant." The commentary described gold as remaining "in a strong bullish posture, in an upward-sloping chart, where closing prices are well above the 50-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA)."
In the same February 28 update, the publication reported that copper closed on February 27 at "a new all-time weekly closing high of $6.0595 (essentially $6.06)," again noting that "All new ATHs are significant." The commentary stated that copper remained "in a strong bullish posture, in an upward-sloping chart, where closing prices are well above the 50-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA)."
According to a March 2 report from Leede Financial, gold climbed "more than 2% toward $5,400 per ounce on Monday, reaching an over one-month high as safe-haven demand intensified following joint strikes by the U.S. and Israel on Iran over the weekend." The firm reported that gold recorded "its seventh straight monthly gain in February, the longest streak since 1973," and stated that the rally had been supported by "strong central bank purchases and a broader investor move away from sovereign bonds and currencies."
Analyst Highlights Uranium Expansion and Technical Strength
1In a February 25 technical analyst opinion, John Newell of John Newell & Associates wrote that he believed Vanguard Mining Corp. was a "Speculative Buy." He stated, "When a junior begins to align operational progress with technical momentum, it deserves a fresh look. That appears to be unfolding now."
Newell wrote that "Since our last report, the company has strengthened its South American uranium position and secured environmental permits on its Paraguayan projects, marking tangible progress beyond early-stage concept." He also stated, "Recent news confirms that Vanguard has expanded its uranium footprint in South America while also receiving environmental permits for its Paraguayan projects. This is important."
In his technical analysis updated February 20, 2026, Newell wrote that "The updated chart confirms that Vanguard Mining Corp. has completed a significant technical transition." He stated that "Both the CA$0.32 first target and the CA$0.50 second target have now been met." He added that "The breakout through former resistance occurred on expanding volume, a critical confirmation signal that accumulation was underway rather than a short-lived spike."
He further wrote that "Momentum indicators remain constructive, and volume expansion during the breakout phase was decisive." Newell outlined additional price targets, stating, "Interim Target: ~CA$0.60 cents," "Third Target: CA$0.90 in play," and "Big Picture Target: CA$1.50." He concluded that "the combination of strategic uranium exposure, copper leverage, and a confirmed technical breakout supports maintaining a Speculative Buy rating at current levels of ~ CA$0.022 cents."
Next Phase Exploration and Technical Reporting
Following the soil survey results, Vanguard stated that it is initiating detailed geological mapping and prospecting over the western and eastern anomalies.
