The Gold Report Interview with Ron Struthers (11/18/11) "I think Hy Lake Gold Inc.'s relationship with Goldcorp. and Agnico is ideal. That is really what a junior needs to do. Down the road, when it has proven out the reserves, it wants to have competition to buy it out. Agnico-Eagle and Goldcorp are the two gorillas in that neck of the woods. They are the two you want to have fighting over your stock when you discover a mine. It's an excellent move.

The Rowan property is excellent. There were three past-producing mines near Rowan and the adjacent properties, so we know there's still gold there. And it is finding robust gold grades in the drill results all the time. It's just a matter of time to do enough drilling there before it proves up a mineable deposit."

The Gold Report Interview with Vikas Ranjan (11/4/11) "Hy Lake's flagship project, called Rowan, is a joint venture with Goldcorp. . .One end of Hy Lake's Rowan project [is located in] the Rowan-NT zone. . .On that zone alone, Hy Lake probably has the potential for more than 2 Moz gold resource. It also just discovered a new breccia corridor on the Rowan Property apart from the main zone. Rowan alone could be a multimillion-ounce deposit. Hy Lake also has three other properties that it thinks are linked as a structure. Its drill results so far are very high grade. Based on the past exploration, we believe it could easily be sitting on 500–600 Koz resource right now, and the exploration potential is very strong. . .On Rowan, for example, the mineralization has an open-pit opportunity, with a 4–5 km strike length. That's a multimillion-ounce deposit potential.

Hy Lake continues to acquire strategic land positions in the area. Last year, it picked up a very strategic claim from Rubicon Minerals Corp. It is pushing ahead with the consolidation strategy and is looking for strategic opportunities to acquire land and expand its exploration potential. . .We believe that the company has plans to move to a bigger stock exchange and we wouldn't be surprised to see it listed on a bigger board soon."

That district literally made Goldcorp Inc. what it is today. Hy Lake's flagship property is the Rowan property, which is a joint venture with Goldcorp. This is one of the rare junior companies that has a fully earned joint venture with Goldcorp where Hy Lake owns 60%, while Goldcorp only owns 40%. It has been hitting some really good grades and found a number of vein systems that it is exploring further. The company will have a lot more drill results to come this year as it is implementing a fairly aggressive drill program both on Rowan and two other properties that it owns outright.
