"Animas Resources (ANI-TSXV; C$0.67) has optioned to earn up to 80% of the Ariel copper porphyry project in Sonora Mexico by spending $3.5 million in exploration expenditures over the next 5 years and completing a pre-feasibility study. The property is on trend to the southeast of La Caridad copper mine in a prolific copper belt.
After a large sell-off of shares in mid-December, Animas' share price has seen a slight recovery after the acquisition of a new property. Six drill holes still have results pending from Santa Gertrudis and positive results from any of these holes could give the share price a further boost."
