Golden Arrow Resources Corp. (GRG:TSX.V; GARWF:OTCQB; G6A:FSE) commenced its first field work program at its Rosales copper project in Chile, it announced in a news release.
The company noted that the campaign at this newly staked property will include taking several hundred soil samples and conducting 1:5,000 scale geological mapping of two priority targets: the Margarita Trend and the NW. Margarita is a structural trend that extends from the adjacent operating Margarita mine southwest to the Rosales project.
"Golden Arrow remains primarily focused on precious metals, but this project was too good an opportunity to pass up, providing 100% ownership at a very low entry cost, with excellent exploration and market upside," Vice President of Exploration and Development Brian McEwen said in the release.
Regarding its Tierra Dorada gold project in Paraguay, the Vancouver-based mining explorer stated it has completed around 13 holes over 180 meters at the Alvaro target there since it started drilling in late August. The work is ongoing and will be done around the end of this month. While that continues, geological work and stream sediment sampling are being done in the northern and southern blocks to identify additional potential targets.
As for Golden Arrow's Flecha de Oro in Argentina, the company noted that its exploration team has concentrated on the 9,968 hectare Esperanza, one of the gold project's three property packages. It was working to define high-grade gold mineralized zones within the 16 kilometers of identified quartz and chalcedony veins when it had to stop in the spring due to COVID-19. Those efforts remains suspended.
During the down time, however, the technical team has been analyzing the available results and refining targets to pursue when field work at Flecha de Oro restarts, the company stated.
