China regulator approves Shanghai Futures Exchange to trade gold futures
The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) said it has given the Shanghai Futures Exchange the go-ahead to trade gold futures.
It will start trading the futures product soon, the stock regulator said, though it did not specify exactly when it would begin...
China's gold output rose 7.15 pct year-on-year to 240.08 tons last year with production concentrated in the provinces of Shandong, Henan, Fujian, Liaoning, Hunan and Shaanxi.
