Erica Rannestad is a senior precious metals analyst at Thomson Reuters GFMS, specializing in precious metals demand in the Americas. Rannestad is the first North American-based analyst for GFMS, managing and executing GFMS' primary field research program in North America. In addition to her regional focus, she also is responsible for GFMS coverage of various end-use industries. Prior to GFMS, Rannestad was a commodities analyst at CPM Group, a commodities research boutique based in New York. There she was responsible for developing precious metals supply and demand statistics and price forecasts for various publications. She also was actively involved in consulting projects with precious metals industry companies.
Rannestad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Fordham University and is a level two candidate in the CFA program.
