Highlights from Apollo Site Visit

What Is Chen Buying? (06/16/2009)
"I had an impressive visit of the Apollo mine yesterday. . .The market is rough so I want to provide some quick updates on Apollo. It seems everything goes very well so far, most of the institution investors I went with were very impressed. Here are some highlights:
  1. The mill is continuing ramping up. Now much higher than the company recently announced 1500ton/day. I heard from a manager that it is operating at about 1,800ton/day now. They are planning to put the crushing circuit in a few weeks to increase it to over 2,000.
  2. The open pit mining is going extremely well. I saw mountains of ore stockpiled in the mine site. Apollo told me they have over 1,000 ton/day extra ore that goes to the stockpile. They are now starting to look for custom milling option to process these ore to further increase cashflow. They are not mining 100%, using half equipment at a time and using the rest half at the next shift because they don't need to mine so much ore.
  3. The new high grade discovery (over 13 oz/ton over 3.5 meter) at hole No.10 announced last week is not a nugget. I held the sample in hand and I could see the visible gold continuously. It is a new gold zone that is residing higher than their existing gold zone, only about 50 meters (150 feet) from the surface.
  4. The phase 2 open pit mining just removed the only major obstacle. Now they are expecting finally approval Q3 and start to pre-strip this winter.
So far everything is very encouraging. . .I feel Apollo is doing so well and the market is giving it almost no credit for it. It should be an exciting stock to watch in the next a few months and more good news coming out."
