Given the poor geological understanding of what makes Frasergold tick, the upcoming drill program news flow could generate considerable market action as geologists try to sort out what the latest results mean...” Machine Plays are juniors inoculated against bad news While it looks like Hawthorne management is betting heavily on Frasergold, the stock has certain characteristics of a "machine play", namely one that will do well regardless of the news flow from the flagship of the moment. Because Frasergold is a "mine making" exercise, mediocre intersections will be ignored as the nothing to fret about, while unusually good intersections will spur the market to speculate that some new dimension to the Frasergold system has been uncovered. But Hawthorne's management also has a history of using "flagship" projects as a stepping-stone to acquire other more substantial projects. ..” |
