WLV Vaults to Near Head of the Pack in New Gold Rush

Gold Newsletter (05/11/2011)
"My final new recommendation gets us back to familiar territory—gold in the Yukon. Wolverine is an extremely well-positioned Yukon play, one that vaulted to near the head of the pack in this new gold rush when it optioned a large, 27-property exploration package from the Strategic Metals/Archer Cathro group. That group has long been one of the leaders in Yukon exploration; this is not a Johnny-come-lately land play.

The company's land position is not only very large, but also right in the midst of the action. The 523 sq. km. package comprises 17 properties in the Dawson Range and 10 properties in the Finlayson District. The high-priority properties sport interesting gold-in-soil anomalies, mostly of the ridge-and-spur variety, that need to be expanded by detailed grid sampling before any drilling is done. But the sheer number of prospects, coupled with their location, makes this a highly prospective Yukon speculation, and a big handful for a junior.

Here's why I'm recommending it now: I was fortunate enough to participate in the financing organized last fall to launch this company. I say 'fortunate' because it was very much in demand; others immediately recognized the potential. . .as a high-potential exploration play, it's worthy of accumulating near current levels. Stock from the financing is now coming free, but the share structure is still pretty tight. It's a good time to begin accumulating the stock, but don't chase it much higher."
